Atlanterhavsparken - one of Norway's biggest attractions

In 2023, Atlanterhavsparken approached two hundred thousand visitors! This makes us one of the biggest attractions in the country. It's not hard to understand why: Here, visitors of all ages get great entertainment, with knowledge and wisdom about marine life in the bargain.

In addition to the many aquariums and pools - the largest has 4 million liters of water - Atlanterhavsparken also has the status of a science center. We give you the opportunity to touch and feel, lift, press, dig, see, listen and smell. This is active learning about marine life, the importance of well-functioning ecosystems and how each of us can make a difference. Speaking of activities: In the activity room, young and old can fish for crabs, lift shells, sea cucumbers and other species out of the water and learn more about marine life from one of our skilled staff. Every day at set times, the fish, seals, otters and penguins are hand-fed, while one of our staff explains about the species and welcomes questions from you and other visitors.

The resort is beautifully located at Tueneset in Ålesund and is easily accessible by car, bus, taxi or on foot. Before or after your visit with us, you can explore the exciting area at Tueneset, with exciting coastal forts and hiking trails, or all that the beautiful Art Nouveau town of Ålesund has to offer.
