Yes, the entire Atlanterhavsparken is wheelchair-friendly. If you need disabled parking, we have a designated parking area at the entrance. We also have wheelchairs on loan for those who need them. Companions with a companion certificate have free entry.
Yes, we have large parking spaces at our disposal, so you will have enough space to park your RV during your visit with us. The nearest 24-hour RV parking facility is Skjerva Bobilparkering, which is within walking distance of Atlanterhavsparken Aquarium. There is also a bus service on this stretch if you do not want to bring your vehicle for your visit
No, there are not. Inside Atlanterhavsparken Aquarium, you will find a Science Centre, an Aquarium and an Aquaculture Display Centre, and the admission fee grants you access to all of these exhibits with the same ticket

You can take the No.1 bus from Downtown Ålesund/Moa in the direction of Hessa. The closest stop is called “Tuenesvegen”. Our facility is about a 10–15-minute stroll from there. See Frammr.no to find bus routes and departure times.
It is about 3.6 km from Downtown Ålesund to Atlanterhavsparken Aquarium, and if you choose to walk along Kirkegata/Steinvåvegen, you will be able to observe the unique buildings in the famous German Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) style and walk the Hans-Marta trail, which offers a lovely view of the Valderøyfjord and the islands north of Downtown Ålesund. This walk is suitable for everyone, and there are several bus stops along the road that go to Atlanterhavsparken Aquarium, in case you change your mind.
You can choose to walk, bike, take public transportation or drive to Atlanterhavsparken Aquarium. We have a bicycle rack right outside the main entrance, and you can take the No.1 bus from Downtown Ålesund Centrum/Moa. The closest stop to Atlanterhavsparken Aquarium is called “Tuenesvegen” and our facility is about a 10–15-minute stroll from there. See Frammr.no to find bus routes and departure times. From Downtown Ålesund it is about a seven-minute drive to Atlanterhavsparken Aquarium, and we have ample parking.

Unfortunately, it is not allowed to bring dogs or other pets into Atlanterhavsparken for reasons such as risk of infection and allergies. We can arrange parking closer to the building in the shade, so that it is easier to walk over and check on your dog during your visit. No, this is not allowed as the adapted benches are reserved for visiting kindergartens and school classes. We sell food and beverages at the café, which can be purchased during opening hours.
Atlanterhavsparken is a non-smoking aquarium and asks all visitors to refrain from smoking during their visit. This includes the outdoor areas.
