There is so much exciting happening at the Science Center during the day - and we love it! Here are some highlights: 🐚 We are out on the water again! A total of 23 spring safaris will be conducted with schools before the summer holidays - both here at Tueneset and out visiting the schools. Here, the students get to explore nature with their own hands and experience marine ecosystems up close! Science at its most vibrant and real - just the way we like it 😍 👩‍🏫 Heidi has been in Ås for a gathering for the Talent Center in Science, together with representatives from the 13 regional science centers. On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Research, we are working to strengthen science interest among students with great learning outcomes - in collaboration with the schools. Fantastic conditions at the Science Park, educational and so idyllic! 🤩 🚐 The Science Truck is finally in place - and we are ecstatic! Electric, delicious and ready to transport knowledge and equipment safely out to the schools. Now we are looking forward to meeting students with curiosity and experiments ahead - on wheels! ⭐ ENG: So many exciting things are happening at the Science Center these days – and we love it! We say thank you for another week full of life, laughter and a beautiful spring atmosphere in Atlanterhavsparken ! 🌊💙 🫧 We kicked off the week by staying open in the evenings on a Monday, and WHAT a success! Over 400 (!!) people stopped by, and Joachim Solum from the Technical Museum delivered a fantastic bubble show. You shouldn't ignore that we will repeat this success! 😍 ☀️ And the weather? Absolutely beautiful! It's a joy to see people enjoying the park during the day, and that both young and old use our outdoor area for all it's worth! 🐧 However, it's not just us who feel the spring mood - our animals are really enjoying the sun, and are extra curious (and flirty 🤭) during the day! 🦀 The activity room has been in full swing! 🎒 As usual, we have had the pleasure of welcoming several school classes. It's always just as inspiring to see children and young people get involved in life underwater, ask questions and learn about sustainability, animal welfare and the ocean's ecosystem 🤩 🎉 The week was rounded off with lots of visits over the weekend, and a full audience at the feedings! Both outside and inside it was bustling with life and curious children and adults! ⚽💙 We're cheering for #FootballTshirtFriday! 💙⚽ Today, several of our employees are wearing football shirts, and supporting an important cause together with the Children's Cancer Association and Sparebanken Møre! For every photo posted today with #footballtshirtfriday, where Sparebanken Møre is tagged, 100 kroner is donated to the Children's Cancer Association. Last year, 200,000 kroner was collected - let's beat that this year! Join us too 💛💪

What a week it has been! Here are some highlights: 🚢 The cruise season is underway, and it shows! All week we have had a full house with happy guests from far and near – just the way we like it! 🦦 What do you do when you find a tree on Facebook Marketplace? Well, then you make an otter slide of course! 🎉 Labor Day and the crowded Friday were a real success with the audience! Full throttle and a brilliant atmosphere – thank you very much to everyone who stopped by! 💙 There is little that makes us happier than satisfied guests – and feedback like this really makes the day! 🌞 Spring is here! The weather has been on our side, and there have been beautiful days both outside and inside. 🎤 On the weekend program we had "Close up" with Fakta-Lars this weekend, and as usual, feedings, diving shows and lots of other fun – great to see so many engaged visitors throughout the weekend! 📚 As usual, we have had lessons for a number of handsome school classes - always so nice to have visits from curious students who ask questions, point, gasp and want to know everything about life in the sea 🥰 Thank you so much for doing Atlanterhavsparken to the special place it is. Last week was full of exciting highlights in Atlanterhavsparken 🌊🐟 💙 We had the honor of hosting the official opening of the Ålesund Seafood Festival! 🎉🐟 A fantastic day, and as a fun ending we surprised with a cooking competition between politicians Geir Inge Lien (SP), Anne Marie Fiksdal (FrP), Monica Molvær (Høyre), and State Secretary Even Sagebakken (Ap)! In the end, it was the latter who came away with the victory and made the best fish burger 🏆🍔 💙 On Friday and Saturday, we organized the Children's Seafood Festival together with Ålesund Library and Sentrumsforeningen 😍📚 On Saturday, we were visited by a total of 73 children (!!) and their curious parents, who got to experience an exciting dissection of cod with our expert Maria. On Friday, we also had the pleasure of welcoming 50 kindergarten children! 🐟✨ 💙 Marthe, who runs "Men with fish on Tinder", took a deeper look at what really makes fish so cool. Together, she and Lars investigated why so many men choose to post fish pictures on Tinder - an entertaining and educational day! 🐠😄 💙 Joakim and Cathrin were in Bodø for the Nordic Travel Workshop, where they met tour operators from all over the world, and made important contacts and collaboration opportunities. We have an exciting time ahead! 🌍✈️ 💙 Heidi and Trond have been on a trip to Tromsø for the annual meeting of the Science Center Association together with the 12 other regional science centers in Norway. There they also got a tour of Polaria, and learned more about Arctic wildlife and the marine environment. Great inspiration to further develop our own communication ❄️🐧 💙 We had a fantastic day with the 7th graders who got to participate in feeding on islets and reefs 🦑🌊 💙 We also started Plastic and Sea Day, where the 7th graders got to participate in Lydlab. The students got to try their hand as both music producers and marketers for an hour! 🎶💻 💙 We have had high school students visit for an educational fish dissection with Lars 🧬🐟 💙 Our CEO, Kjetil Aarseth, was at the meeting of the European Association of Zoological Gardens and Aquariums - EAZA. The collection was added to Valencia, which has Europe's largest aquarium! 🤩 Aarseth was elected to the organization's council as one of only 40 representatives!

🌟 Exciting times for the Science Center 🌟 The Science Team has been in Trondheim to work closely with our mentors at the Science Center there, who are assisting us in the development of our new talent center! 🤩 The Talent Center will be an offer for students with high learning potential and is an important measure to prevent school dropout. Here, young people who think outside the box will be able to meet each other and participate in adapted teaching programs - an important social and educational platform for those who may fall outside for various reasons ❤️ We have had planning meetings, participated in teacher training courses and met schools that have already started similar learning programs. We also got to visit the Newton Room and NTNU's chemistry laboratories at Cecilie's old workplace, and got lots of inspiration for a new chemistry program with us 🧪🔬⚗️ In addition, we explored the planetarium and got lots of inspiration for future exhibitions and learning programs at Atlanterhavsparken ! A great upgrade, and Tottiz has really been a hero to make it happen! 🏠 📣 New residents have moved in! We have both wolffish and new types of catfish in the park! They are so cool, and are really worth a visit to see 🐠 🐙 The octopuses have officially moved into their new home, and we could have watched them for hours! Insanely fascinating how they move - and change their colors 🤩 💙 We have had lots of nice visitors this week, both guests from Norway and abroad, school classes and kindergartens - always fun to see you experience the park! ✨ 🎥 Maria took us behind the scenes at the Science Center. This video is just something to look forward to! 🧇 We called in the weekend with bingo and waffle Friday - a great success! 🍔 Ole and Joachim held a cooking class for Italian exchange students, who impressed with their skills in the kitchen. Here fish burgers were made from trout from Hofseth👨‍🍳✨ 🎉 The weekend was also full of life in Atlanterhavsparken ! In addition to our regular program, we held "behind the scenes" tours, where participants got an exclusive insight into what goes on behind the scenes here at the park 🏞️ On Saturday we had the pleasure of collaborating with Nito to organize Children's Engineering Day, and it was a great success! 🚀👷‍♂️ Thanks to everyone who made the week absolutely wonderful!
