On Friday, June 21st, we had the honor of hosting this year's chess festival here in Atlanterhavsparken – and what a day it was!

You know what? Atlanterhavsparken has had a Feather Safari with a total of 1100 (!!!) students from May 7th to June 19th, distributed across six municipalities and 22 schools.

The Easter holiday is finally here, and we warmly welcome you to visit us with more great experiences and activities for the whole family.

TV 2 came to interview our fantastic presenter, Lars Fauskanger, about our newly hatched baby penguins!

Tekna turns 150 in 2024 and is celebrating by donating NOK 150,000 to all the country's science centers so that more students can visit their local center in the coming year. For Atlanterhavsparken , the donation means that we can also visit schools that are unable to come to us. We will contact the schools that are offered the opportunity to teach 5th-7th grade and look forward to reaching more pupils with our learning programs.

In recent years, we have experienced strong growth and therefore want to strengthen our ranks even more! The goal is to be able to offer the leisure audience, school classes, kindergartens, tourists, companies and organizations (yes, and the list just keeps getting longer and longer over the years), an even better and personal offer in the future. We look forward to the continuation, and hope you will join us - this will be fun!

The winter holidays are filled with many exciting activities for young and old.

For the first time, we're inviting the public to an exciting science show at the big tank on October 12 and 13! Our skilled presenters will showcase cool experiments with flames, liquid nitrogen and beautiful colors. 🔥❄️🌈

The autumn holidays are here, and we're running a packed program from Saturday 5 October to Sunday 13 October. The program is full of both exciting news and the well-known successes, so we can safely give you a "new knowledge" guarantee after a visit during the autumn holidays!

The aquaculture viewing center - "Storfjorden" opened here on the second floor of Atlanterhavsparken in August 2022. This is a collaboration between Atlanterhavsparken and the aquaculture company Hofseth Aqua.

Norway's first marine science centre will be located here at Atlanterhavsparken.

Do you want to learn how to make fish cakes? Atlanterhavsparken now offers courses in fish cake making during the winter holidays.

The countdown to Easter has started, and after so much good feedback on our winter holiday program, we would like to invite you once again to an eventful Easter holiday here at Atlanterhavsparken aquarium and science center.

In collaboration with the Institute of Marine Research, we would like to invite you to a day on the shore at Tueneset to be a marine scientist for a day.

Atlanterhavsparken invites you to exciting events on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 September as part of the Research Days. The events are free and in collaboration with Marint Kompetansenter, Høgskulen i Volda and NTNU.

In November, we invited primary school teachers from across our region to a free teacher training course. The teachers represented most of the grades in primary school. Their commitment and enthusiasm for the course and its content was infectious!

They were a hair's breadth from death, yet now they scamper around full of life and joy. If you visit spectacular Atlanterhavsparken in Ålesund this summer, be ready to be charmed by these three little otters.
