On Friday, September 29, we invite all upper secondary school and junior high school students to Researchers' Night! The event is free and takes place from 18:00 - 21:30.

The evening kicks off with a science show in front of Atlanterhavstanken with Dennis Siva Lie and Stian Sandø. They are known from Newton and NRK, among other things, and are ready to start the evening with a bang!

There will be a free bus from Moa bus station at 17.30 and Ålesund bus station at 17.40. Return from Atlanterhavsparken at 21.30.

Activities

For the rest of the evening, there will be 20 varied activities for young people to get involved in. The students will experience what research has to say about their daily lives. Here you get to taste, smell, listen, lift, push, turn and steer. Some of the activities are: 

Miracle berries ٠ blood types ٠ ROV ٠ drops ٠ coding ٠ bit:bots ٠ IBS research ٠ VR ٠ competitions ٠ math-nut ٠ raw material from fish ٠ surgical simulation ٠ lego ٠ sugarcanechips ٠ tower ٠ food workshop ٠ microplastics in gills ٠ ocean lab ٠ sea binoculars ٠ obstacle course

The café will also be open. We end the evening with Kahoot and prizes.

The event is part of Research Days 2023. Researchers' Night is organized all over Europe this evening, and for the Ålesund area, Atlanterhavsparken is where it happens! Researchers, students and staff at Atlanterhavsparken, NTNU, Helse Møre og Romsdal HF, Møreforsking, Spjelkavik vgs. and Marint Kompetansesenter let you test out phenomena and activities related to research and natural science.
