Atlanterhavsparken is a family favorite where both children and adults can experience and learn about the unique and diverse life below the surface along the Norwegian coast. Twice is Atlanterhavsparken voted the best aquarium in the Nordics by the Swedish family site barnsemester.se . which selects the best of the best in travel and experiences for families with children.
The children's favorite place is the activity room . Here there is both an indoor jetty above the crab pool and a contact pool where you can really get up close to manger sea creatures. Here you can hold a sea sausage or touch a soft starfish, a spiky sea urchin or take a closer look at a shell. The bait is ready on the jetty, so it's just a matter of getting started with crab fishing.
Another thing that the children are really excited about Atlanterhavsparken is the new, beautiful Science Centre , which opened on 1 September last year. In 2019, the Ministry of Education appointed Atlanterhavsparken to become Norway's first Marine Science Centre, which currently has three exhibitions; Living in the sea, the Sea Nation and Ocean Research .

Welcome to Ålesund's new and beautiful water park! Here you will find a therapy bath/family bath, jacuzzi, children's pool, slides, diving tower, activity pool, training pool, cafe and delicious southern temperature. We have everything our guests could wish for, whether you come often or just to visit.
Every hour the waves hit the edge of the pool and invite you to have fun in the water! The wave pool has a depth of 0-1.8 metres, and the water maintains a comfortable temperature. At the shallowest part of the wave pool, there are various fountains that the children can play in. At the very end, there is a small climbing wall and a counter-current pool.
Fridays at Bybadet are super Fridays! The lighting is dimmed, and the entire Bybadet is filled with cool music from the speakers. Only the pool light is on in the activity pool and the wave pool. In the cafe, they have various Friday offers for something for the whole family, so you can enjoy your meal here.

Bybadet is centrally located in the center of Ålesund, close to Byparken. With Aksla parking in the immediate vicinity, Bybadet is equipped with good parking conditions. You can actually go dry-shod straight into the water park!
