Bread sponge

Latin: Halichondria panicea
Size:
Varies widely in shape and size. The species can form carpets several meters long on the bottom.
Levested:
Common from the shore down to 200 meters. Grows on rocks, stones and kelp.
Distribution:
The entire Norwegian coast and large parts of Europe.
Food:
Filter eater.
