Distribution:
In the eastern Atlantic from Morocco north to Iceland. Found in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. Common along the entire Norwegian coast.
Food:
Crustaceans, mussels and mantis shrimps.
Facts about plaice

The small flounders you see when you swim at the sandy beaches in the summer are often plaice. Plaice grow relatively slowly and can live up to 50 years.
