Facts about Blåkjeft

The blue jaw is named after the oral cavity and the inside of the gill covers, which are blue-black. The species spawns a free-floating egg mass after internal fertilization. The blue jaw lives in colonies and grows slowly. Since it has no swim bladder, it tolerates catch and release well.
