The shell is up to 22 mm long and 15 mm wide.
Levested:
Most often on seaweed and kelp, from the shore down to 20 meters.
Distribution:
From the south coast of Africa to Vesterålen in Northern Norway. Also in the Mediterranean.
Food:
Omnivore, eats carrion and algae.
