The diameter of the central disk is up to 90 mm
Levested:
Mostly found attached to deep-water corals (especially gorgonians such as sea bushes and sea trees) from 50 m down to 1200 m.
Distribution:
Northern distribution. From the west coast of Ireland to mid-Norway. On the Norwegian coast it is sporadically recorded from Østfold to Helgeland
Food:
Zooplankton
Facts about Medusahode

The medusa head is a very characteristic snake star. The five arms are highly branched, so that a fully grown individual can have up to 5000 arm tips.
