Levested:
Hard bottom in shallow water in summer. In winter it moves deeper (15-200 m).
Distribution:
From West Africa and northwards on the west and northeast side of the British Isles. Mediterranean Sea. In Scandinavia from the west coast of Sweden north to Nord-Trøndelag.
Food:
Crustaceans, shells and snails.
Facts about Blue steel / Red beak

In this species, the male and female fish have different names in Norwegian because they are different in color. All bluetigers (male fish) have previously been female fish. There are also male fish that look like female fish. These are male fish all their lives. Previously, it was thought that there were two different species.
