Distribution:
In the Black Sea, the Mediterranean, along the eastern Atlantic from Gibraltar northwards to northern Norway. Faroe Islands and the Baltic Sea. In Norway north to Troms.
Food:
Small crustaceans and various larvae.
Many goby species live short lives of 1-3 years. The sand goby lives up to 2.5 years.
