On Wednesday, August 12, we invite you to a very special evening in Selbukta.
We gather to experience the solar eclipse together with well-known speakers in astronomy and natural science.
We start with exciting lectures from the stage, before moving out to follow the spectacular celestial phenomenon.
Program for the day:
1700 - Doors open
1730 - Lecture on stage from Ben David Norman from NTNU in Ålesund
1800 - Lecture with Knut Jørgen Røed Ødegaard from Scena
1845 - We go out to the bay of seals
1900 - Solar eclipse and outdoor activities
2100 - end of the day
Throughout the evening:
- open cafe and shop
- aquariums and exhibits available as usual
- Activities for children, young people and adults
- Dissemination and observation of the solar eclipse
The event is held in collaboration with NTNU Ålesund.
Prices and tickets for the evening:
- adults NOK 135,- per person
- children NOK 75,- per person
- students NOK 75 per person

The science centers and Tekna spread the joy of scienceTekna turns 150 in 2024 and is celebrating by donating NOK 150,000 to all the country's science centers so that more students can visit their local center in the coming year. For Atlanterhavsparken , the donation means that we can also visit schools that are unable to come to us. We will contact the schools that are offered the opportunity to teach 5th-7th grade and look forward to reaching more pupils with our learning programs.
