The American website Forbes is known for its many rankings. They have also ranked the best aquariums in the world, and we are happy to see that we are among the top ten.
We are very happy about this praise, especially since Forbes has not only placed us among the best aquariums in the world, but also emphasized in the text what we believe is important – the well-being of the animals in a beautiful and natural environment:
"Since 1998, Atlanterhavsparken -foundation has been one of Northern Europe's largest and most unique saltwater aquariums. Animals and fish live in unfiltered water straight from the ocean outside. The Atlantic Tank is one of Europe's largest saltwater aquariums where you will see all the large cold-water fish that live in our oceans. The science centers and Tekna spread the joy of scienceTekna turns 150 in 2024 and is celebrating by donating NOK 150,000 to all the country's science centers so that more students can visit their local center in the coming year. For Atlanterhavsparken , the donation means that we can also visit schools that are unable to come to us. We will contact the schools that are offered the opportunity to teach 5th-7th grade and look forward to reaching more pupils with our learning programs.
