Size:
Up to 60 cm in diameter.
Levested:
It lives on sandy and mixed seabed from shallow water in the north of its range to deep water further south in its range.
Distribution:
In the Atlantic Ocean from Cape Verde to the Norwegian coast. It is sporadically recorded from Østfold to the Møre coast.
Food:
Other echinoderms.
This starfish species can move very fast with its long tube feet.
