The aquaculture viewing center - "Storfjorden" opened here on the second floor of Atlanterhavsparken in August 2022. This is a collaboration between Atlanterhavsparken and the aquaculture company Hofseth Aqua.
The aim is to create an insight into Norwegian aquaculture through activity and wonder, and we hope this can inspire the next generations to help solve the challenges facing the industry today.
To inspire and raise awareness of this part of our coast, all levels of primary school can apply for free entry for their class. This is done in the application form here.

The science centers and Tekna spread the joy of scienceTekna turns 150 in 2024 and is celebrating by donating NOK 150,000 to all the country's science centers so that more students can visit their local center in the coming year. For Atlanterhavsparken , the donation means that we can also visit schools that are unable to come to us. We will contact the schools that are offered the opportunity to teach 5th-7th grade and look forward to reaching more pupils with our learning programs.
