Distribution:
From Biscay and north to northern Norway. In Norway it is common from south to the Møre coast, more sporadically north to Lofoten.
Food:
Crustaceans and small fish.
Facts about Hårvar

This species of flounder is most often attached to the walls of the aquarium or the underside of rocks. It gets its name from the hairy body scales on the eye side.
